Strategic Partnerships and Investments Committee Charter

Purpose

The purpose of the Strategic Partnerships and Investments Committee is to assist the Board and FTF staff in securing private resources to improve the quality of and access to the early childhood system. The Committee provides guidance and accountability to FTF staff in their efforts to achieve the investment goals outlined in the Strategic Partnerships and Investments (SPI) plan.

Membership

The Board Chairperson has the authority to appoint the members of the Committee, which may, but need not, include Board members, and may delegate the appointing authority to FTF staff.  The Board Chairperson shall appoint the Chairperson of the Committee.

Meetings

The Committee shall meet as often as needed to fulfill its responsibilities as charged.

Key Responsibilities

The Committee shall:

  1. Review the ongoing strategies and benchmarks identified in the SPI plan.
  2. Guide staff in the preparation of the annual SPI performance report and its presentation to the Board.
  3. Support FTF staff in exploring and assessing the viability of new funding ideas and strategies.
  4. Guide staff in utilizing community members from diverse industry backgrounds to assist in strengthening relationships and building new connections with potential donors.
